Linking people & redesigning systems
for a healthy future
Former Vice President Al Gore on
Thursday called on Americans to solve global warming, end U.S.
dependence on foreign oil and rein in energy prices by converting the
nation’s electricity production to carbon-free power within 10 years.

It’s also visionary leadership, the kind this country hasn’t seen since
President John Kennedy challenged Americans to put a man on the moon in
10 years. “Many people doubted we could accomplish that goal — but
eight years and two months later, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked
on the surface of the moon,” Gore noted.
